CATURRA/GEISHA KATALEYA 300g coffee

Our colleague Edinson has a plot of land in a breathtakingly beautiful valley some 1800 meters above sea level. For most of the year, the landscape is cloaked in a dreamy fog, creating the perfect conditions for rich wildlife and coffee that grows slowly. The place is named Kataleya, and gets its name from the many wild orchids that grow here.
A while back, Edinson planted a few trees of the Geisha variety together with the already grown Caturra trees. This year, the trees are finally ready to bring us their first berries.
With the tumult that 2020 meant, with restrictions and limitations, it was a challenge to get people around during the harvest, which led Edinson to harvest the little plot together.
It’s a poetic experience to drink this when the bounty of flowers at Kataleya makes itself known in this tiny blend of two coffees that complete each other.
